Our Story

Marthe Hardy, 30 years old — A wife, a mom, a daughter, a sister, and an entrepreneur. Marthe has been on a 12-year streak. At 30 years old, Marthe has truly embodied what it means to not only have redemption but resolve.

Marthe is the middle child of first-generation parents from Haiti. Dad from Port-au-Prince and mom from Jacmel. Marthe was born and raised in Minnesota where she dealt with a lot of trauma, abuse, but yet triumph. From foster care, to homelessness, to trauma—none of that stopped her. In every situation, she thrives.

When Marthe got out of the foster care system and was homeless on the streets of Minneapolis, Marthe found resources, community, and people to help her—MENTORS. Business owners, staff, case management literally influenced and inspired her to be the amazing woman she is today. That is why she is so big on community and setting an example.

"During those difficult times on the streets, I met a woman who was also homeless. In passing, at a park, at a bus stop—it didn't matter where we were—she would braid my hair. It was a simple act of humanity, a moment of care when the world felt cold. That woman showed me that even in our darkest seasons, we can be the light for someone else. That's what Raw Redemption Hair is about."

Raw Redemption Hair by LMC is not just about Raw Hair or Hairstylist Equity—it's about self-love, healing, and taking a stand and deciding you are ready for your own redemption.

Marthe has worked in the medical field, social work, and advocacy for underserved communities. She has been a voice for change. Now, she's using her platform to ensure that every person in the beauty industry—and every client—has the protection, respect, and dignity they deserve.

Every woman has a story. Every woman has a season or seasons where she finds herself and becomes the woman she was always supposed to be. We live in a day and age where it's always an attack on women, specifically on social media—from the social standards of what it is to be a woman to the way we are supposed to act, feel, and be.

As business women, some of us are either coming from something, dealing with something, or everything is going absolutely great and well in life and just maybe had an interesting day, while others might have accidentally got the short end of the stick.

It would be delusional to say that all of us sometimes in the professional field at some point have not dealt with some sort of conflict, especially in the BEAUTY INDUSTRY where you're dealing with nothing but women. As long as you change small things over time where it gets to a point where everything is changed is all that matters.

Each of our products is something a woman that has reclaimed her power and stepped into her flow state can use as a healthy pick-me-up and reminder that you are that girl.
